About Lema

Sustainability you can harvest.

Our story

From one backyard system to a movement.

Lema Agrivest started in Maseru with a simple conviction: food security in Africa shouldn't depend on rain, soil quality, or diesel. Hydroponics and sustainability go hand in hand, and our job is to put that technology within reach of ordinary households.

Today we design and install climate-smart farming systems, train new growers from schoolchildren to civil servants, and run the Lesponix Collective, which is a growing network of youth, women, and people with disabilities farming without soil across Lesotho and beyond.

Our mission

To accelerate Africa's transition to sustainability and self-sufficiency through innovative farming techniques.

Our vision

To be Africa's leading provider of easy access to sustainable farming techniques — one farmer at a time.

How we work

Three principles behind every farm we build.

Letsema

Collective effort

Sesotho for people coming together to work for a common purpose. Farmers in our network produce, negotiate, and earn together, small growers with collective strength.

Inclusion

Farming for everyone

Our systems and training are designed for youth, women, and people with disabilities — the people conventional agriculture too often leaves out.

Evidence

Measured impact

Dated figures, tracked baselines, and honest claims. If we say a farm avoids 437 kg of CO₂e a year, it's because we've done the arithmetic.

Our team

The people behind the pipes.
